Stepping Back from the Brink

It looks like Episcopalians may wisely be declining to provoke the worldwide Episcopal Church; despite the presence of three gays in the running, two heterosexuals appear to be the top contenders to be the next bishop of California.

As the linked piece points out, "The [Episcopal] church has long prided itself for including liberal and conservative ideologies."

How 'bout going for a real diversity pick here in California -- and appointing a theological conservative?
