"Honest" and "Open"

Now that someone has actually pleaded guilty to bribing Democratic Rep. William Jefferson, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer -- the Democratic leaders in the House -- think the Ethics Committee ought to investigate. But for some reason, they've declined formally to ask the committee for an investigation themselves.

In light of this, the Patrick Kennedy scandal, and so much more, isn't there something a little ironic about Pelosi standing in front of a banner that reads "Honest Leadership, Open Government," as this piece reports?
