It's Kavanaugh Time

Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the D.C. Circuit moves to the Senate floor today. As noted here on my blog and here in The Wall Street Journal, joining a fight over this nomination (if the Democrats continue with it) would be not only good policy for the Republicans -- it's good politics, too.

Update: Brett Kavanaugh is now going to have to have another hearing on Tuesday, thanks to Senator Specter who acceded to the request from Democrats. Anyone who think that the Democrats' positions aren't hardened in stone is naive, to put it mildly. Specter has also promised a vote on Kavanaugh next Thursday. I guess we'll see.
