Rich Lowry makes a good point here -- that President Bush is remarkably fortunate in his adversaries, e.g. Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore. They discredit themselves by the extremes of their rhetoric.
In political terms (if not in terms of policy), the President is likewise fortunate, as I pointed out here. The Democrats have been remarkably unserious about the war on terror, which may explain why they are having difficulty reaping the benefits of President Bush's political difficulties, as Morton Kondracke points out today.
