No "War On Terror" Part 100
The feds have broken up a major Islamic terrorist plot against JFK airport.
It's worth pointing out that, if the immigration bill had been in place, two of the three of those responsible could have a provisional visa and, quite possibly, some sort of due process rights.
Given what we've learned about the presence of jihadists within the country -- and the ease with which they've gotten here -- how, exactly, do those on the president's side of the debate justify legalizing immigrants even from countries of interest with such haste? It strikes me that it's almost as difficult as any effort John Edwads might make to defend his assertion that there's really no global war on terror.
Facts are facts, after all.

That is quite a war... four men without a weapon.
It didn't take long for the Left to begin pooh-poohing these arrests. They were "stupid guys" who couldn't have pulled it off. They didn't have "the means" to do it. What they wanted to do would have been "serious," but not catastrophic.
I guess that means every bank robber who shoves a note across the counter to a teller claiming to have a weapon, when (s)he doesn't have one, isn't dangerous and should be ignored.
Or if your neighbor informs you (s)he's going to bomb your house and begins looking for the wherewithal to do just that, you should smile and sleep soundly.
When the Left's rear end is in flames or has been blown off, it will be a pleasure to use their favorite nostrums to salve their wounds.
