The People the Democrats Want to Abandon
A sobering news account informed us of the following:
A battle raged yesterday in western Baghdad after residents rose up against al Qaeda and called for U.S. military help to end random gunfire that forced people to huddle indoors and threats that kept students from final exams . ..
What's more:
Members of al Qaeda, who consider the district part of their so-called Islamic State of Iraq, were preventing students from attending final exams and forcing residents to stay in their homes.
Just remember, these residents calling for US help are the ones the Democrats want to abandon. And apparently they're willing to run the risk fo the members of al Qaeda referenced above establishign an "Islamic State of Iraq."

Does 600 to 900 mercenaries make a state? I'm pretty sure most Dems plans deal with this band of outlaws even with a withdrawal. But as you've noted on immigration Bush is not open to discourse and debate.
The Warsaw Ghetto rose up against the Nazis. They lost. The Parisian
rose up against the Nazis. They were rescued. The Hungarians lost the battle in 1956 but won the war in 1989 like the Czechs. The battle for democracy goes on. Of course without the support of the Dems.

Really? Pray tell how? By leaving behind troops to do what is being done now?
It only takes 600-900 armed despots to create a state with those unarmed citizens just looking to survive making up the rest of the population.
