Whatever -- Bush is Wrong
I'm confused. For years -- years -- we've had to listen to liberals complain that President Bush's America was too eager to "go it alone" . . . America was taking too much upon itself, wouldn't rely on "allies," work with "allies," be bossed around by "allies." The country was -- gasp -- failing John Kerry's famous "global test."
Now, however, we read in this week's Time magazine a critique by lefty Peter Beinart. The problem? President Bush is letting our allies do too much -- he's outsourcing foreign policy! America should, Beinart says, be doing more, and relying less on allies.
Apparently, if you're on the left, you need to know one thing only: Whatever President Bush is doing is wrong. The rest is just a bunch of meaningless details.

The right is always wrong and the left is always right.
