Ah, The Impotence
It must be frustrating beyond words for Democrats to read pieces like this one -- and be forced to come to terms with the fact that there is nothing they can do, absent some unforeseeable and cataclysmic event, to stop the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.
At the end of the day, all the foot-stamping and temper tantrums in the world don't change the facts one iota: Elections have consequences. Americans elected President Bush (twice) and a Republican Senate. And leftist politicians and interest groups have indulged in so much hyperbole over the years that their frenzied denunciations of a Republican president's Supreme Court nominees has become little more than white noise for the normal American.
That's all for the best, and couldn't possibly be better.

So President 35% is going to go nukular in favor of Strip Search Sammy, eh?
I imagine the Senator "Please Don't Indict Me" Frist is going to be leading the way?
Oh well, at least Scalito can give ole Bill some advice on how not to recuse yourself when you have $390K invested in the defendant of a case.
Couldn't the President find even one honest Republican to appoint?
My we're feeling remarkably vindictive and smug today aren't we. Your just goose-stepping in the streets aren't you Carol?
Meanwhile your white house is coming apart at the seams.
