Long Term Help for the Gulf Coast

On KABC over the past few days, I have repeatedly referred to a web portal that is being established to match individuals and groups around the country with those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Over time, as short term needs are addressed, there are many community institutions -- from churches to local chess clubs -- that will need assistance to get back on their feet. And as all of us know, these institutions are vital to rebuilding vibrant communities along the Gulf Coast.
