Townhall Column

I have written about the peril to the religious right should its leaders, in the event of a Giuliani nomination, decide to support a third party candidacy.

If that happened, in a Giuliani-Clinton matchup, the religious right would be the only sure loser -- and that would be a shame.

Couldn't agree more. I'm a pro-life, pro-traditional marriage Christian who will support Guilani if he wins the primary. He has stated emphatically that he will appoint strict-constructionist judges - check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8sYgwW7Ph4 - and I believe him. If the Christian right sits this one out or supports a doomed third party candidate, they will be responsible for a Hillary or Obama presidency.
