ULP

This is Jack Kelly, helping to fill in in Carol's absence.

Bill Roggio http://billroggio.com/reports that al Qaeda and the Taliban have emptied out all but one of their training camps in northwestern Pakistan:

"This is one of the reasons that we are worried about a major CONUS [Continental United States] attack," the senior military intelligence source told The Fourth Rail, noting the recent influx of news of terror cells attempting to penetrate the US. "If they evacuated their bases, they almost certainly did so out of fear of more than just the Pakistani army."

I'm more concerned about a major attack in the Middle East than here in the USA. The great bulk of the al-Qaeda membership could never get into the USA and would stick out like a sore thumb if they tried to do so. Indeed, not that many of their recruits speak English. These people are much more useful in an Arabic-speaking country -- like Iraq, Lebanon, or Egypt.
