Crimson With Shame

Professor Harvey Mansfield offers a damning indictment of the behavior of America's universities in the wake of 9/11.

A key passage:

The jihadists say they will triumph because they believe in death while we believe in life. That is not quite so. We do believe in life -- but not at any cost. We too value sacrifice and honor for a decent cause. But we let our soldiers speak for us. The professors, who should be our spokesmen, have learned nothing from our soldiers and have nothing to say on why they volunteer to risk their lives.

Sadly, the universities seem determined to render themselves irrelevant.

Still hiding behind the brave men and women serving our country, huh Carol? It seems that is the case with so many who don't have a dog in the fight, or even any dollars invested in it.

Sadly, many bloggers seem determined to render themselves irrelevant as well. Their crimson hands furiously work the keyboards to obfuscate and conflate, whatever it takes to camouflage the breathtaking incompetence of the worst president ever.

America has enjoyed the greatest amount of freedom and peace in the history of the world. That was only made so because we protected our freedom with force. Appeasement with Islamo-fascists proved it's folly with the Clintonistas.

Can you liberal trolls justify your head in the sand approach? As you sit in your comfy chair and type feverishly with Bush Derangement Syndrome clouding any reason that might come into your brain.

duke, your dog in the fight is cheering for the enemy.

Not hilarious, but certainly pathetic.

CoPioneer, you are trying to talk to "people" who cannot hear. They are deaf and dumb to anything but BDS. We need to keep talking, however, to those who still have their heads on and can think straight.

eddy again seeing what isn't there, unless his crap about sub-species is an admission. Hey, I'll buy that. Possibly the most truthful thing he's ever said. But as can always use a good laugh, I'd love to see his support for how the Bush's caused over a million deaths. Sounds like Cindy Sheehan's crap. I'm so glad eddy doesn't hold public office.
