Carol Platt Liebau: An Idiotic Charge

An Idiotic Charge

Democrats are accusing the President of politicizing 9/11 because of remarks he made last night. Read the remarks here and decide for yourself.

As I noted before, the Democrats realize they are weak on national security issues, and it makes them crazy to think that they might lose Congress yet again on this basis. So any time the President makes a national security address, they'll say whatever they need to in order to undermine its effectiveness, and his effectiveness as a war time leader.

It's all very reminiscent of the 2004 elections, when the president's political opponents voiced strong objections to the use of any images of 9/11 in the campaign. They understand that, to the extent that national security and 9/11 are on voters minds, the Republicans, party of peace through strength, will have an edge.

And because they know it's an argument they can't win, they prefer to try to shut down the debate entirely with false accusations.

Shutting down the debate with false accusations? Very weak, Carol. Very weak.

I remember bonehead and company shutting down the debate with false intelligence, though. Don't you?

Which debate was that, Pukestir? Are you trying to say the Dems are NOT playing their usual games here? Very weak on YOUR part.

That is exactly what Bush did. He shamelessly politicized 9/11 and also turned it into an entire day of photo-ops for himself and his administration officals. Missing on the airwaves where Democrats who worked very hard to rebuild NYC, the first responders and families of the victims.

It is not surprising but the Rove tactic of having Bush in our face every single day has created fatigue...

WASHINGTON (CNN) September 11, 2006 -- The percentage of Americans who blame the Bush administration for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington has risen from almost a third to almost half over the past four years, a CNN poll released Monday found.

Now what do you mean by debate? Democrats were not given air time.

Still another pointless poll, eddy? Do you plan to ever include the question for the poll? Without knowing how the question was asked, it's totally worthless and a waste of space to post the results. It means nothing. It has no value. Except to losers like yourself who can't argue a position intelligently. And hey, dukie. Don't think I didn't catch you using the BS Bush lied angle again. Give it up. It's a lie itself and you know it.
