Chalk One Up for Vote Fraud

A Missouri judge has struck down legislation requiring a state ID in order to vote. Because the paperwork to get a driver's license isn't free (and women who get married must show proof of their name change), a judge has ruled that the law is a particular burden on women and the poor.

Somewhere, Ritzy Mekler is yapping for joy.

This is really stupid. My wife just got a state ID here in Illinois. Unless Mizzou is gouging, an ID's cost isn't so prohibitive. I can't believe people even walk around without identification. It may be a burden, but with at least two years between major elections, there's plenty of time to squirrel away the dough for an ID they should already have anyway. This has to be something that will be overturned. I can't believe the MO judicial system is filled with idiots.

Good point. I'm sure the Dems can pass the hat since they are dying to have these people vote for them.
