An Agenda for the GOP
Here are some strategies intended to help Republicans avoid an electoral rout in November.

And almost as if on cue, a pool of crude deep in the Gulf of Mexico was announced just today. Rove is a genius!
Now if there were some more refineries--and inland from the hurricane belt, at that--this could be fairly useful.
They forgot the most important agenda item...
Run away from the President. In 1994, Bill Clinton had a 54% disapproval rate in early September, and we know how that turned out. Currently, President George W. Bush has a 55% disapproval rating.
The similarities are eerie.
This article shows that there are a number of issues on which the GOP can make serious hay. A call, letter or email to elected reps would help spur their enthusiasm. Just as important is the need to get out and talk this stuff up. The GOP does a terrible job of self-promotion. On just the issues presented, the conservative position is almost unimpeachable. Just as Bush is.
