Bush was just trying to swing for a single.
Also, remember that Bush was like a Coca-Cola representative at a Pepsi convention.
The NAACP is in the failure business. Its members make their livings from all of the accessories that come with it: government programs, new bureaucracies, quotas, sensitivity training, set-asides, self-pity and excuses.
There is little point to trying to sell success accessories to members of the failure industry. Such accessories to success include: family, education, hard work, home ownership, entrepreneurship and accountability.
