It looks like Bush trying to establish a democracy in Iraq is the worst thing to do if one is trying to defeat radical islamists.
Perhaps that explains why the insurgents and Al Qaeda have Iraq on the brink of a civil war and the PM is trying to prvent that by offering amnesty to all of those who killed or injured our troops.
Very bad news.
LOL !!
dhead is right, doing absolutely nothing is a better idea.
Oh, sure, we can have our talking head politician meet with their talking head politician and come to an agreement that we should just all get along, but so far, that hasn't worked either.
I didn't say do nothing. I will say Bush should have finished the mission in Afghanistan before he cut and ran to Iraq on Curveball & Chalibis's bad information.
"...Bush should have finished the mission in Afghanistan before he cut and ran to Iraq..."
Yes. Bush did a dutiful quickie in Afghanistan -- I mean heck, you gotta dance with the one that brung ya to the wardance -- but he knew we were going into Iraq the day he took office.
He had a personal axe to grind which caused him to have no objectivity on the matter. This, of course, dovetailed nicely with the needs of Halliburton, et al, for the war-and-destruction machinery to be put to use. The neoCons provided the prose.
