One More Example. . .

Of why judges matter. It was Judge David Sentelle (for whom I clerked) and Judge Janice Rogers Brown (Reagan and George W. nominee) in the majority; Judge Harry Edwards (Carter nominee) in dissent.

So how's the Judiciary Committee coming along with the other George W. Bush nominees?

Well, since they're Bush's nominees, it's probably a safe bet that Orrin Hack isn't killing their nominations with the blue-slip maneuver. Ol' Orrin suddenly became a fan of the Constitutional authority of the FULL Senate to decide on judicial nominees.

Bush would be on track to appoint more judges than Clinton, if he reframes from nominating homophobic candidates.

Also keep in mind that Clinton met with leaders of the Republicans to discuss potential candidates before nominating them. While Bush has just taken a Unitary Executive, I'm the decider position.
