Once again, here is my piece on today's strikes. Whoever advised the illegal immigrants and their allies to take this tack did them no favors.

Who else would be so stupid as the communists? It is commusist's labor day after all. ANSWER, the modern socialist worker movement has organized most of the marches recently.. I think the reaction will be negative as far as their agenda. Control the border then deal with those productive folks already here.
As I've said before, I was a fence-sitter on this issue. Actually, I was simpathetic toward the illegals.
Now my position has hardened. I'm firmly in the camp of those who desire serious border control and serious immigration law enforcement.
Disrespect and ungratefulness simply destroy credibility. What are these people thinking?
I know what they're thinking. Once again, they're thinking Americans are wimps and will fold under the pressure of bullying tactics.
That is such a mischaracterization of American society. What they see as weakness is actually polite consideration and tolerence. But once pushed, Americans are fierce.
How many times will this misunderstanding have to be clarified?
