Naturally, today, our thoughts and prayers turn to the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom and security of the United States of America -- and to their families, who share in that sacrifice.

I posted that today along Moina Michael's now less-well-known response to "In Flanders Fields," her pledge to keep faith with those slain in service, "We Shall Keep the Faith," which plainly states a committment all too many cannot (or will not) echo today.
I prefer to note Mark Twain's
