A Poor Decision

Bob Dole has some nerve scolding Rush Limbaugh on behalf of John McCain.

First, Dole should realize that Rush has much more to do with the success of today's GOP -- and conservative movement -- than he and McCain combined. Second, his tactics aren't likely, in the end, to help reconcile McCain with the elements of the party he'll have to win over.

Bob Dole could do more for his friend McCain by reassuring, rather than attacking, people who supported him even when it was clear that he was a lost cause -- rather like, some fear, McCain will be.

Coyote here.

According to Rush Limbaugh's own website, "there was no scolding in this letter....{I]t was not a scolding e-mail, not a scolding letter at all. In fact, Senator Dole did not even endorse McCain in this letter, for those of you who are paying attention."
