A Double Standard
Wait a minute -- I thought one of the reasons McCain and the other Republicans were supposed to dislike Romney is because he was running negative ads against them.
So why is McCain doing this?
It seems to me that the only difference is that Romney used his own money, in part, to fund the negative ads -- while McCain is using other people's money to do the same thing. So why the resentment?

This mystifies me, too. Ads work. And promoting yourself by drawing distinctions between you and your opponent is squarely within the guarantees of free speech.
People often say they don't like "negative" ads, but they sure do work. I think people should give up this little hypocrisy.
