It's Called Socialism
Rich Lowry discusses a topic that's been extensively covered by my friends at the Independent Women's Forum -- that is, the dated and ridiculous idea of comparable worth. It's a perfect accompaniment to the attempted resurrection of the Equal Rights Amendment, and is a surprisingly durable left-wing theory, despite repeated debunking of its animating myths.
As I've noted before, there's only one way to describe a system under which the government sets pay rates for different jobs without regard to their market value: Socialism.

But if the market pays less than what a person needs to survive... then what?
Slavery doesn't have to be entrenched in law... it can also be practiced quite competently by businesses and corporations if they wrangle the laws correctly.

I consider that the most obscene statement ever uttered. Socialism, or it's political sibling - Communism totally destroys incentive.
BTW who owms these corporations? I do believe that thanks to 401K's us workers do.
