Oh boy. I have a 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier (Mike). I read these things and I'm grateful to have him.
For some reason this affected me deeply. I have a terrier mix named Scruffy. A couplke of months ago this little dog, while out on a walk with my wife, "Barked down" a coyote.
I hope the I have a fraction of the courage that these little folk have.
BTW - Carol, Scruffy wants me to say hello to Sir Winston!
It was with a heart swelling with Terrier pride, that Percy read about George and his bravery. In memory of him Percy will observe a minutes silence.
