Challenging Faith in America

This article reports the existence of a new Secular Coalition for America, intended to "challenge" the faithful and elevate the status and visibility of atheists.

It will be interesting to see how the group fares. It's hard not to feel a twinge of compassion for those who deny or disbelieve in the existence of a loving God. But in my experience, nany atheists aren't just areligious; they are actively hostile to religion. If that ends up being the case with the Secular Coalition, they won't get far.

America is, after all, a deeply religious nation, whether they like it or not.
