Once More, With Feeling
How many more of these stories are we going to have to hear?
Drum roll: The Democrats are meeting to hammer out a plan. We've been there with national security. Now, it seems that the Dems are going domestic.
But it's tiresome to hear the press report breathlessly that the Democrats are going to get together to decide what to say (and probably what to think) about the domestic issues of the day. Does a party that needs to meet in order to figure out what it thinks have any business leading?

If 9/11 hasn't opened your eyes enough to understand the threat we all live under, then you're worse than an ostrich. It scares me that people like you vote. Just what is your alternative that will put an end to terrorism? You gonna negotiate? Are you that stupid to believe there's any hope of that working? Aren't you paying attention? As a father, it galls me that people like you get your hands on a ballot. You disarm the citizens at home and handcuff our police and military, and when a war takes too long as a result, you blame the prez and call him incompetent. You people are just freakin' nuts.
Lemme guess. The Democrats' plan will be bold and smart. Possibly it will be "chipotle", too, but they are still seeing how that plays with the focus groups.
It would be quicker and easier to just say what they really mean. "We've got a war to lose. We're going to do it!"
