Extraordinary
By any measure, Ashley Wyrick is an extraordinary young woman. She was abandoned at birth, lost her father at the age of 9 to cancer, and then watched her older sister and caretaker battle breast cancer not long thereafter.
If she had turned out a messed up, angry and confused girl, no one could have blamed her. Instead, she sounds like a happy, lovely young person, on the way to living a productive and fulfilled life.
One can only feel compassion for the person who abandoned her so long ago -- and gratitude for the police officer who found this wonderful baby and saved her life.
