The Real Question
Whatever Cynthia McKinney and the disgraceful collection of grievance groups claims, the incident involving her assault on a Capitol Hill police officer prompts only one question: Do the people's elected representatives have to live within the same rules that they have established for the rest of us?
Update: More evidence that Cynthia McKinney isn't overburdened with respect for the law.

"Do the people's elected representatives have to live within the same rules that they have established for the rest of us?" This is a black and white question. She is black so can do anything she wants. To say anything against her is racism. So says the left MSM.
Congress spends much of its collective energy exempting itself from laws it foists on the rest of us. Only when 'outed' and embarrassed does it relent and include itself in a small portion of them. From special parking privileges to voting itself perks, it tells the world how 'special' it considers itself.
Is it any wonder the public holds such disdain for it? Used car salesmen and politicians are near the bottom of 'trust' rankings.
Not just incidentally, Rep. McKinney's father once called her political opponent a "racist Jew," so as my parents used to say, the acorn didn't fall far from the tree.
The corrupt Tom DeLay is resigning the House.
He's stepping aside because he knows he will rot in jail along with Cunningham and Abramoff and Ney and...
Or does Carol still think this is just a political witchhunt?
Ah, Hypocrisy
Ah, the old liberal 'crystal ball trick': gaze into a globe purchased from the DNC and believe it's objective and accurate. Even Houdini and Kreskin couldn't actually see into the future, and they were less fraudulent than the DNC.
A wise person would await a trial and conviction before pronouncing Mr. DeLay guilty. But leftists are so desperate to tar and feather someone -- anyone across the aisle -- that they constantly step into their own goop and get 'stuck on stupid.' After all, Mr. DeLay might just have decided to embark on a new career, such as lobbyist for Dubai, a la Mr. Clinton, or paid speechifier, a la Mr. Gore, or investigator of illegal steroid use by pro athletes, a la Mr. Mitchell.
A number of Democrats have also been mentioned as having accepted favors from Mr. Abramoff. They may yet find themselves the recipients of similar treatment as DeLay got, but from Republican prosecutors. But I'll wait till the fat lady sings before breaking into a wide smirk. Or casting aspersions such as "hypocri[te]" at someone.
When writing about DeLay, Carol qualified her posts with, "Make no mistake: If Tom DeLay has done something wrong, he should step down." 04/11/2005
Accusations are not guilt, so watch your step, leftists, lest you again skid into your own goop.
McKinney certainly wouldn't be the first politician to abuse her post. (Of course it's strange since the GOP is supposed to be the party of corruption.) I'm still amazed that she thinks she's so important to be recognized considering how many are in the House. She obviously thinks very highly of herself. 'Til now, I've never heard of her.
I'll bet the folks in McKinney's district are right-proud of their Rep (D-GA) right about now.
I remember thinking back when she was elected this time around that it was going to be fun to watch. And here we are.
Can't you just imagine how Cynthia's compaign speeches must have gone? "I will seek to end the injustice! The injustice! You will no longer have to ride in the back of the bus!" sigh
