Definitely At Risk

This piece reports that the New York Times' diversity council believes that it is a "newspaper at risk."

They're right, but for all the wrong reasons. Here's the key paragraph to the linked piece:

The council defined diversity in terms of employees' race, gender and sexual orientation. Religious and political differences were not accounted for.

The Times thinks that the problem is that there aren't enough African Americans, women and gays in the newsroom. An ever-expanding chunk of America thinks the problem is that there is completely ideological conformity in the newroom -- whatever the color/gender/sexual preference of the people holding the liberal views.
