"I don't think any model can tell you with any confidence right now whether the levees will be topped or not but that is obviously a very, very grave concern." Max Mayfield, Director of the National Hurricane Center, briefing President Bush on August 29, 2005.
"I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees. They did anticipate a serious storm. But these levees got breached. And as a result, much of New Orleans is flooded. And now we are having to deal with it and will." President Bush, on Good Morning America, September 1, 2005.
No, Carol, Republicans are the only ones with an honesty issue.

Mr. Twister, you're losing it.
You've tried so hard to make yourself believe the Bush Administration would be brought down by any number of issues like ...
Valerie Plame Iraqi WMD Defeat in the War in Iraq NSA Enemy Surveilance Katrina Approval Ratings Hunting Accidents Jack Abramoff etc.
... that, as each of these issues fail to gain any real traction, you and your ideological kind are driven further and further away from reality.
The fact is that the VAST majority of Americans want the U.S. to actively attack and destroy terrorists. They see through the desperate attempts by the Democratic Party create scandals where there are none. And they are getting tired of liberal crap.
Oh, and Americans know that honesty and virtue are soiled equally by both political parties. Your claim to the contrary belies your instability and pending collapse.
