The NY Times: Lawbreakers?
Gabriel Schoenfeld makes a pretty convincing case that the NY Times broke the Espionage Act. Read it here.

I LOVE blogs! Through blogs I have been exposed to a tremendous amount of valuable information both from liberal and conservative points of view.
I'm not finished reading the linked article. But I had to comment on a key phrase stating that the Expionage Act has been found by the courts to apply:
"to WHOEVER transmits national-defense information to A PERSON NOT ENTITLED TO RECEIVE IT".
That would definitely indicate the Espionage Act applies to the New York Times.
Even though the press has wide freedoms - and I thank God for that -, they are not free to give away military secrets in a time of war.
I only hope the current administration has the resolve to pursue prosecution. I realize they will be slandered as "totalitarians" for trying to "silence a critical press". But they must push through. The media needs to be made aware they are not free to harm our war efforts.
