More Moonbattery

Jules Witcover echoes the frustration voiced by Dana Milbank yesterday, as noted here.

He also asserts that there are "[m]any other Americans, including independents and even some Republicans," who would like to see President Bush impeached. Ahem, perhaps the wish is father to the thought, Mr. Witcover, but wishing doesn't make it so. Names, please?

The main point, however, that both Witcover and Milbank miss by treating the whole "impeachment" boondoggle as something other than a moonbat fantasy, is the fact that it is hardly likely to help the Democrats return to power.

As Republicans can remind America: Voting for a Democrat next November will effectively result in the impeachment of President Bush -- in the middle of a war -- for actions he took in exercising his best judgment as President of the United States about how to protect the American people.

Hardly seems like an offer that the vast bulk of Americans will be eager to accept.
