Especially if you live in California, Virginia or New Jersey.
Here are my recommendations:
In California: "Yes" on 73-77; "no" on 79 and 80.
In Virginia: Jerry Kilgore for Governor
In New Jersey: Doug Forrester for Governor.
But whatever happens, keep this in mind: Four years ago, Republicans lost the governors' seats in both Virginia and New Jersey. The press spun it as a great victory for the Democrats, and quite possibly a precursor to Dem political success in the federal elections of 2002. As you'll recall, 2002 turned out to be a hearty endorsement of President Bush, as Republicans took the Senate decisively.
