By Their Friends Shall Ye Know Them

Looks like more of Cindy Sheehan's ideological soulmates are headed to Crawford.

For more on Cindy Sheehan's vigil, check out this stinging satire from The American Thinker.

Once again fellow readers, this is another tired conservative ploy - Chapter #1 of Karl Rove's dirty trick handbook. Make the opposition look "far out of the mainstream". The "swift boating" of Cindy Sheehan, right Carol? Problem is she is IN the mainstream. Read the polls Carol, 54% (and growing) of Americans oppose this war. Cindy Sheehan and her "soulmates" are in the majority. You and your soulmates are on the fringe, my dear.

oh, and by the way Carol, how many of you and your rich, influential friends have kids that have died in this war? Or are willing to start sending them into the Iraqi meat-grinder? We're getting sick of the armchair patriotism spewing from chanel-wearing talking-heads who live in McMansions and lecture the little people about what is "mainstream".

Carol, you should be ashamed or yourself. It's bad enough that you have decided to join the rest of the right wing noise machine to smear Cindy Sheehan. Now, however, you resort to argumentum ad Hitlerum.

Do you really want to play this game, Carol? OK, we'll play the dozens.

Who was it that paid $82,500 for David Duke's mailing list? Why could it have been Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council? Yes indeedy.

Who sent out an article in 2002 blaming the current sorry state of race relations on the freeing of the slaves? Could it have been the Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party? Yes indeedy (and he used official CRP letterhead to do so).

Who benefitted from push polls claiming John McCain fathered an illegitimate black child? Could it have been George W. Bush in the 2000 South Carolina primary? Yes indeedy.

The difference between Cindy Sheehan and the Republican right is that Cindy Sheehan never asked neo-nazis to join her, while the Republican party and cohorts woo them as part of their base.
