9/11 Commission Digging In

Well, well. The 9/11 Commission chairmen -- perhaps sensing a mortal threat to their credibility -- are digging in. They allege that the military intelligence official identifying Mohammed Atta had no documentation to back up the claim.

It will be interesting to see if this statement changes over time -- like the Commission's initial claim that it had never been told about the fact that Atta was known to be a terrorist and living in Manhattan as far back as 1999.

In any case, why didn't the Commission at least note that the claim had been made (after all, it wasn't like the relevant official was some crazy off the street)? And the next question for the Commission: What other information did you omit from highly credible sources, supposedly on the grounds that there was no documentation to substantiate it?

Let the commission "dig in" all it wants. When the hole gets deep enough, cover it over and get on with fighting terrorism. With the MSM becoming weaker, the public is becoming less and less "dupable."
