Howard Dean: Longtime Religious Bigot?

Seems that Dean's recent comments are merely his most recent anti-religious rantings.

What does it say about the Democratic Party that its members would choose a man like this as their leader?

Ever looking for the feint within the feint, I can't help but think that the Dean train wreck is some kind of distraction meant to take our eyes off of slight of hand Dems intend to pull. Or maybe he was put there to use as contrast to whomever they decide to put up as their presidential candidate down the road... making bad look better compared to him? I don't know.

Reading the background info in your link sheds light on Dean's long history of bigotry and bold-faced hate for Christians and religion in general.

Seriously, what could they have been thinking to make him the head of anything? The boogy man is out of the closet now. Scary.

Carol - according to some Republicans, Bush is a religious bigot...

He gave succor to Islam when he made a statement that no informed Christian could make. He told the leader of Turkey that they both believe in "the Almighty." Then when a reporter asked him if the God of Islam was the same as the God of Christianity, Bush replied: "I believe we worship the same God." The pastor should say, "Sir, your education is deficient and your advisors have failed you. Don't you know that Muslims worship the pagan moon god, Allah? Any good encyclopedia or common history book could settle that in a few minutes of research. You embarrass all Christians when you don't speak the truth about spiritual things. If you don't know, don't speak."
