Abortion Clinic Outrage
Here is an LA Times story about the frighteningly corrupt and immoral way a chain of abortion clinics in California have been run.
How strange . . . haven't we always been told that the reason to keep abortion legal is that it will keep the procedure safe (at least for the mother, that is)?

And as longtime Canadian blogger Kathy Shaidle is fond of pointing out, more abortion clinics have been bombed in TV's "Law and Order" than were ever bombed in real life.
Yeah, we were supposed to legalize so that women won't die. Well, weren't these individuals women? Why don't they count?
The whole idea that legalizing abortion would get rid of the quacks would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. How in the world would taking away the threat of prison convince a quack to be more careful? I know of three criminal abortionists who managed not to kill any patients in the "bad old days" who each went on to kill two patients in "safe and legal" practice: Jesse Ketchum, Milan Vuitch, and Benjamin Munson.
I dare say Margaret Smith, Carole Schaner, Wilma Harris, Jeannie English, Linda Padfield, and Yvonne Mesteth would have been better off had these guys not been able to blandly hang out their shingles.
