The sad part of it, however, is that the big government elites of the Democrat party will never let it fly -- no matter how well it might work. Why? Because it takes power and money away from the federal government and redirects it to ordinary Americans. And that, for a liberal, is the kiss of death.

It's the same reason why, as I pointed out here, good liberals would always prefer for the government to pay Americans, rather than passing tax cuts and tax credits that keep taxpayer money out of Washington.
