When exactly did MoveOn.org and the Democratic Party become one and the same? Your assertion is like any nutty thing Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh says is attributable to all Republicans. That is not to say MoveOn.ord did something nutty rather that it just isn't attributable to others.
Additionally, Petraeus, the Kool-aide kid didn't surprise anyone with his rosy report. He gave himself and Bush an A+, which is at odds with all other reports. He has done this in the past and time has proven his assessments very wrong indeed.
"rosy" report? Check your own kool-aide, EtC. Petraeus reported on both good and bad.
And Rep. Brian Baird, who has been opposed the the Iraqi War from the start, believes the counter insurgency is working, well enough that it should be given more time.
The headline says it all. It's all a game to Ms. Liebau. It's all about winning and losing. And it has nothing to do with the substance of policymaking.
