Assessing the Greater Danger
Even as Iran and North Korea grow ever closer to possessing nuclear weapons, US "nuclear weapons experts" are challenging the Bush administration's assessment that the American nuclear arsenal needs to be updated. Notably, their reasons seem to be primarily political.
Liberals like to scoff when conservatives observe that they seem to be more afraid of their own country than of other undisputedly rogue nations. But this seems to be another example of that sad phenomenon.

Non nuclear proliferation is a goal most civilized people can understand. The US possession of over 10,000 nuclear war heads and wanting more doesn't suggest the US is serious.
Having the ability to destroy the world once is rather insane. The excess capacity is pork but no one can really expect Bush to do the right thing, to spend the money where it is really needed, say for example on caring for the wounded soldiers in rat infested hospitals.
Perhaps it goes without saying but there is very little Conservatism in the Neocon's nutty agenda.

But the question, Earth, is whether North Korea, Iran, and Al Qaeda understand this.
What say you?
I think the point is that when have 10,000 plus warheads and Bush starts his war dance, other countries think they need one or a few.
I'll take that as a "No."
Earth, you seem to be supporting the idea of unstable, rogue elements having nukes. What's worse is that you're saying Al Qaeda, North Korea, Iran, et al need and deserve nukes because they need to be protected from the United States.
Are you kidding me? Is that your argument? Seriously?
You're a prime example of why the left cannot be trusted with the securtiy of the United States. You're simply not interested in securing the United States. You see us as the enemy and the true threat to humanity. You don't want that secured. You want it defeated.
That, Earth, if it weren't so dangerous would be laughable.
