Troubling Questions

Robert Spencer raises some troubling questions about the Salt Lake City attack -- and others preceding them -- that just "happened" to be perpetrated by young men with Islamofascist sympathies, who justified their behavior in terrorist terms.

It's not hard to believe that an individual would take it upon himself to commit such acts as a lone terrorist. We hear too often of their being influenced in their schools and mosques. At the same time, one individual can infer almost anything. I think we must err on the side of caution and keep the lone terrorism angle closer to the top of the possibility list.

Was not the Iraq war supposed to keep the boys from madrassahs and other "Islamofascists" occupied over there and Americans safe? I think you got your talking points out of order because that angle will be disappearing from Townhall very quickly because it kicks the last leg out from under the President and his rationale for being in Iraq.

Just like a leming, the white-flag set joins the flock heading off the cliff of sanity.

Real Simply; Saddam was a massively destabling element in the powder ceg that we call the middle east. Saddam was paying suicide bombers' families. Whether or not he had WMD's is besides the point. If it were not for Israel, he would have had nukes. He would have used them. He had a history of using WMD's when it suited his needs. This is verifiable fact.

Left to his own measures he was capable of unbelievable danger.

Next, the war in Iraq is not a war - it is a front in a much larger war. We are fighting a world war against Islamo-fascism. The various factors within the Islamofascist world may hate each other, however they hate us infidels more. They view Jews and Americans as the same ilk - They have plainly stated that they want us dead.

As a Jew and an American I find fault with that. I would rather that they died instead.

Nice try cav. And I've heard the same angle attempted by another suffering from BDS. The threat from solitary jihadists may rise as our military scores more successes. But as regretable as it is, it's not the same as another 9/11, so in that case, we are still fighting the war over there. Not surprising that those like yourself would be surprised by the enemy's change of tactics. Also not surprising that those like yourself would try to use it to further your Bush-hatred. Fortunately for America, while your type is playing games trying to smear the president and our military, adults are taking care of business. But as long as those like yourself exist, the enemy will always feel they have a better chance. Thank you so much.
