Inconvenient Questions

Al Gore is apparently unwilling to answer questions that challenge many of his cataclysmic pronouncements about global warming. In fact, as the linked article points out, he refuses to do so.

This tendency -- which many of the more radical environmentalists seem to share -- is profoundly counterproductive to their cause. All of us have a shared interest in making sure that the planet remains habitable. But the whole mass of global warming controversy is continually discredited by bully boy tactics and the unwillingness of its proponents to debate the skeptics, fair and square.

My son called me Sunday eve. to tell me that it is snowing in Tucson Arizona, where he lives!
Maybe gore can explain this! When does the global warming kick in?

Oh c'mon, Carol. Get serious. People like AlGore don't have time to waste on responding to critics. They're too busy fear-mongering and positioning themselves as saviors who can allay the fears of those who think it's too hot outside. Those critics are just gonna make people think that maybe Al's not totally truthful. How can he aquire power then?

Carol,

There is no real controversy over global warming. All of the research, all of it, points to the same conclusion, that the globe is heating and we with our automobiles, cattle, and industry are the greatest cause of it. There are those, some admitedly with scientific degrees, who try to create confusion in the public's mind with their "debate" tactics. But none of them have published scientific papers that disprove any of the science or theory that points to global warming.
