While John McCain is lecturing us on Fox News, it seemed like a good time to express regret over Governor Bob Erlich's loss in Maryland. He was a solid governor, who did a good job for the state.
The bottom line for him is the same as for Steele: Great candidates, bad year -- and that's only magnified in a blue state like Maryland.
