Here is my Townhall column, discussing the Democrats who have referred to withholding funding for the war in Iraq, and what it would mean for our chances of victory in the war on terror.

To be a Democrat must require that one first divorce oneself from reality.

Either this war on terrorists (not terror) is real or it is not.

If it is not real then our troops are in Iraq and Aphganistan on an adventure. My congressman thinks its an adventure.

His campaign ads, this is true, feature him talking to his passenger, saying that when he is re-elected he will fight for a windfall profits tax on the oil companies and to stop their price gouging.

In other ads he attacks his opponent as, "in favor of tax cuts, reforming social security, eliminating the estate tax."

At first the latter ad seems to be from my congressman's opponent. Only at the point of endorsement is it clear that it is from my congressman. Very subtle, very clever.

And he will be re-elected overwhelmingly.
