DSCC: Illegals = Terrorists
Under the leadership of Senator Chuck Schuymer, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has made a habit of playing dirty, as Maryland's Republican US Senate candidate, Michael Steele, knows better than most people.
Schumer's newest gambit is an ad that equates illegal immigrants with terrorists. Just imagine the uproar if Republicans had produced it.
The fact is that the borders need to be secure for national security reasons; if they're not, we won't know when real terrorists cross. Where Schumer behaves so despicably is in conflating terrorists with other illegals -- who are lawbreakers, no doubt about it, but hardly in the league of Osama bin Laden.

I sincerely doubt that Cheney mentioned just generic opposition to the admin. Bush's position on dealing with terrorism/Islamofascists, surely, but not just opposing the admin. (Please---no out of context quotes.)
To say that electing a candidate who wants to pull out of Iraq would encourage the scumbags is not only insightful, but right on the money. These jerks pay attention to American news and commentary in order to determine our determination. They are emboldened by any semblance of victory. The Dems casting off one of their own due to his support for the admin's efforts in Iraq is a sure sign to them that at least one party is acting in a manner that aligns with their intentions. One would have to be really stupid and not paying attention to miss this. Hmmmm.
Anyway, Cheney's comments about the election were right on the money and they show that his party has the maturity and intelligence to lead in this fight that must be fought.

That said, Chucky is correct about illegals.
They may not be blowing stuff up, but they are ruining this country much more quickly (though silently) than the terrorists ever could.

1. tell the enemy (conservatives) exactly the opposite of what you are doing.
2. call them names.
3. then insult their intelligence.
4. if they respond, then tell them that they are either a) holier than thou, b) full of self proclaimed superiority, c) a bunch of mindless lemmings, or d) mean and evil with some underdeveloped lesser animal type brain.
5. make sure you know nothing about the conservative you engage.
6. Most importantly, call them racist sexist bigots at every opportunity.

On Topic: Republicans tartly noted that Schumer is a leading critic of identity theft and breaches of sensitive personal data like credit reports. I suppose being hypocritical is morally okay? Sort of like lying under oath.
And: It also shows Osama bin Laden, Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and a docked ship as it claims "4 times as many terrorist attacks in 2005." Where? In the Sudan? Iraq? Isreal?
"4 times as many terrorist attacks THWARTED in 2005." is a bit more acurate. And even more in 2006.
Somewhat like the warnings to "Ignore Ac*us" or "Do not feed the trolls".

All illegals are not terrorists. I'll bet a goodly number of terrorists are illegally here one way or another (overstaying a visa, for instance).

Of course eddy. Most conservs are angry with Bush's border policies. This is news to you? Though you like to think we defend every fart from the guy, this is one of the areas with which we disagree. But though it's off topic, it would be nice to see your evidence for your claim he's trying to steal oil. We could use a good laugh.

If this doesn't cry out for ignoring further emissions from "editor", I don't know what does. This is the stalest of stale Michael Moore inspired talking points that none but the most hopeless cases of Bush Derangement Syndrome sufferers still hold dear.
