The Double Standard
How come when the Clinton White House does it, it's merely efficent "rapid response," but when the Bush White House does it, it's trying to intimidate reporters into "self-censorship"?

Well eddy-boy, no one's gonna sweat to much about YOUR powers of recall. As for Slick Willie, he didn't have much in the way of seditious rhetoric with which to contend.
I don't recall Clinton claiming any newspapers were treasonous and aiding the terrorist or spying on journalist phone records.
I remember them rifling a box of FBI files, claiming talk radio was Bad for America and using the IRS as a weapon against political opponents.
Good. Times.
They were illegal like Rosa Parks not giving up her seat was illegal.
I guess they were the good times... just woosh right on by.
