What's Next for Lieberman
Joe Lieberman has announced that he will petition to run as an independent should he lose the Democratic primary to leftist Ned Lamont.
Good -- every Republican in Connecticut should have his or her name on the Lieberman petition. By all means, vote Republican in the general election, but it would be shameful to stand idly by as one of the few Democrats who's actually taken a principled and consistent stance on the war is defeated by a wacko.
Worst case, Lamont wins the general. But with Lieberman in the race, that result becomes much less likely.

I say to Sen. Lieberman, come to the right side, the Republican side. You may be too liberal than I would like, but you would not be as bad as so-called "Republican" Sen. Lincoln Chafee(R-RI). You are a man of principle and are not afraid to take on the whackjobs in your present party. We can use more people of principle on our side and show that the once great Democrat party is now totally a socialist fantasyland.
The ideological purity thing worked fabulously for McGovern, didn't it?
