A Red Queen Mentality

It's important that the inquiry into Haditha not become a "Red Queen" investigation. As you'll recall, in Alice in Wonderland, the Red Queen's cry was: "Verdict first, trial later. Off with their heads!"

It's also increasingly clear that too many groups on the left have less interest in what really happened at Haditha than in exploiting whatever did happen for political advantage and their own agendas. Exhibit A: The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has called for Donald Rumsfeld's resignation, before the results of the investigation are even complete.

Absolutely, Carol. How dare John Kline--decorated veteran, Republican Representative from Minnesota, and the man who carried the nuclear football for Ronald Reagan--call Haditha an "atrocity" before all of the facts are out?

Carol continues with her attempt to politicize the atrocity with "It's also increasingly clear that too many groups on the left have less interest in what really happened at Haditha than in exploiting whatever did happen for political advantage and their own agendas."

Speak it, sister! Make it clear to everyone that **TRUE** Republicans such as yourself realize the important thing now is to demonize the Left. Ignore any Republicans, such as John Kline, who take a principled stand against the premeditated murder of civilians by the US military. Do your best to turn war crimes into an issue you can make partisan hay over.
