Daschle II
Harry Reid's popularity in his home state of Nevada has plummeted since he became Senate Minority Leader.
He's got the same problem as Tom Daschle (until '04 the Senator from South Dakota) did. Both are red state Democrats . . . which makes sense for the Dems as a party -- they want leaders who at least can given the illusion of coming from middle America. The problem for the leaders themselves is that they become increasingly disliked at home as they spout the party line in Washington.
Too bad he's not up for reelection again until 2010.

Maybe that's because the party line is stupid. Ya think?
Least the Dems had to sense to pick a pitbull that was just re-elected and good for 6 years (in 04). This should also be a blue flag for voters in other red states. Be careful of the Dem you vote for - he might be a pitbull in disguise.
