What Should Have Been

Today, Dennis Prager writes the speech we should have heard from an Academy Award winner on Sunday night. Note, also, that there was not one mention -- not one! -- of our troops in harm's way. A telling omission.

One of the many points made in the linked piece that bear repeating has to do with the importance of entertainment. I wrote about it here in connection with last year's Oscars.

Oscars and Hollywood reflect that John Wayne is dead while George Clooney lives. This is Hollywood today. Unless Hollywood changes it will go the way of the Dinosaurs, who faced a changed environment and they died.
